SUMMARY:
The individual in this position is a passionate, responsible, and experienced professional to assist the strategic and daily activities of the warehouse staff related to distribution, fulfillment, inventory, and reconciliation. The Warehouse Associate will support with making sure the daily operations within the warehouse are not only maintained but strengthened. Doing this successfully will mean that the efficiency, quality, and organization of the warehouse space will help to create the best experience possible for our clients, volunteers, and donors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: (95%)
• Perform daily warehouse-related activities, including but not limited to: loading and unloading inventory; organizing, recording, and storing items in an efficient and effective way
• Assist in managing incoming and outgoing in-kind gifts, including capture donor information
• Supervise and support episodic volunteers ensuring efficient operations and an outstanding client experience
• Help with the setup and execution of special events
• Practice and maintain OSHA safety standards
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and motor vehicle
• Other duties as assigned
Other Duties: (5%)
• All positions are expected to support inter-departmental cross-training. At times, additional tasks are required, and employees are expected to be flexible and adjust to benefit the organization’s mission.
• Maintain ongoing and open communication with direct supervisor as well as other leadership and colleagues!
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma/GED and one-two years of warehouse or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
• Proficient in MS Office computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and other general office software
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for last 3yrs required

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
This job regularly operates in a professional office and warehouse environment near outside weather conditions with the majority of time spent in the warehouse. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as assigned workstation, computer, phone, copier, etc. Must be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours a week, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
