We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Engineer for Commercial HVAC to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in Commercial HVAC and have a detail-oriented approach in handling HVAC projects. This role requires proficiency in estimating jobs and generating proposals.

Duties

  • Estimate jobs and generate proposals including bundled solutions
  • Coordinate’s material estimated with engineering for procurement
  • Works with outside sales to prepare booking packages
  • Performs project equipment take offs
  • Follows bid processes
  • Assist in administering service contracts
  • Organizes and maintains of job files
  • Works with accounting to handover projects
  • Coordinates with operations and engineering
  • Maintenance of master pricing files, literature, presentation material on company server
  • Purchasing process and expediting orders
  • Attends sales meetings – reports sales activity and project tracking
  • Attends supplier training
  • Client conversations to include cross selling / lead generation
  • Facilitates introductions of key customer contacts to other sales member for specific opportunity development

Requirements

  • Detail orientated with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and read blueprints – mechanical and control systems
  • Proficient in Adobe, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, BlueBeam
  • Skill in consultative, relationship, listening, and selling skills
  • Highly self-motivated, goal oriented
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication / follow up skills personally, telephone and email
  • Writing skills – skills to generate accurate, well-conceived correspondence
  • Ability to multitask
  • Associate degree or completion of trade school with Five years minimum related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in commercial HVAC, building automation, controls or associated manufactures representative business
  • Estimator historical skill set
  • Knowledge and experience with Controls a plus
  • Equipment knowledge pluses: Controls, Air Handling, Packaged & Split DX/DOAS / ERV, Cooling Towers, Air Distribution (Grills, Registers, Diffusers, VAV’s, Dampers, Fan Coils), Fans, Controls, Wireless Thermostats, Flow Measurement (liquid and air), Gas Detection Equipment, Pressure Independent valves, Adiabatic Humidification Systems, Snorkels, Air Purification Systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
